Preaching Master — Design System
Brand Foundation · v 1.0

The visual language of sermon craft.

A reverent, editorial system pairing a deep navy with antique gold, serif type with monastic spacing. Every token below is fixed by the brand and used on every screen of Preaching Master.

01

Brand Mark

A sealed circular emblem — an open book, a rising dove, a pulpit microphone — wrapped in a gold-and-navy ring. The mark reads as a stamp; it stands alone, or pairs with the serif wordmark in a horizontal lockup.

Clearspace
½ × X ½ × X ½ × X ½ × X

Give the seal room to breathe.

Maintain a minimum clearspace equal to half the mark's diameter on every side. Nothing — type, photography, UI chrome, page edges — should encroach on this margin.

Do & Don't
Do
Use on navy or cream.
The mark is built to sit on the two house surfaces. Both pass contrast.
Do
Use on pale gold tints.
Tints below 12% gold are safe behind the seal at full opacity.
Don't
Don't lay over busy photography.
Place the mark in a solid swatch first; photos sit beside, not behind.
Do
Scale uniformly.
Hold the aspect ratio. The seal is round — keep it round.
Don't
Don't stretch or squash.
Any non-uniform scale breaks the ring geometry.
Don't
Don't recolor the mark.
Navy + antique gold + cream are the only sanctioned values.

The Long Quiet Coming

Mark 1 · 1-8 — Working draft, 22 min, three movements
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ — and the gospel begins, curiously, with a man in the wilderness. Not in the temple. Not in the palace. In the wilderness, where the only audience is the wind.
Movement I · Argument

The gospel begins where the empire ends. It begins in the place no one is watching.

John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The Greek μετάνοια is not regret. It is a turning of the whole self — a re-direction of where the body is walking.
Make ready the way of the Lord — and the wilderness shall sing. — Isaiah 40 · 3 (paraphrase)
